Tests conducted in Alanya: Cases are being reported to hotels!

Speaking about infections contracted from pools in Alanya, Alanya District Health Director Nadir Aldemir stated that all necessary tests are being conducted in the pools.

With the arrival of summer, interest in hotel pools has increased, and Alanya District Health Director Nadir Aldemir issued an important warning. He pointed out that especially children's pools are areas where infection risk should be carefully considered, and hygiene rules must be strictly followed.

CHILDREN'S POOLS ARE RISKY

Aldemir said, “Children’s pools are particularly risky in terms of infections. Since children have not yet developed hygiene awareness, they may even urinate in the pool. Adults pose less risk in this regard,” warning families to be cautious.

REGULAR INSPECTIONS ARE CONDUCTED

Aldemir stated that the Health Directorate regularly inspects pools: “Samples are taken from the pools and sent to laboratories. If any negative results are detected, hotels are notified and necessary precautions are taken. Most hotels already prepare in advance to maintain the pool’s chlorine levels and hygiene.”

“WE ENCOUNTER OCCASIONAL CASES”

Although infection cases are not very common, Aldemir noted that they occasionally receive individual complaints. He emphasized the great importance of children showering before and after entering the pool and paying attention to their toilet habits.
